Common Core Learning Standards

New York Sate Teacher Centers, the largest professional development network in the state, has provided thousands of hours training and leadership for teachers as they navigate through the Common Core Learning Standards.  Through Collegial Circles, Study Groups, Workshops, Courses, Video Conferences, Teacher Centers provide hands-on, authentic training to teachers, parents, and administrators. Some examples of our work include:

  • Math Module Training
  • ELA Module Training
  • Resource preparation and sharing
  • Dialogue and discussion
  • New Teacher Training
  • Staff Development Policy Board CCLS training
  • Hundred of workshops rolled out through the New York State Teacher Center Teaching to the Core Grant

As we have done for thirty years, we anticipate and provide tangible support for State Education Department initiatives by creating on-going learning opportunities, at the ready, across the state, available to all teachers. We stand poised to support teachers in the classroom as they address CCLS and Assessments.
